Since our inception in 1984, Lawrence Engineering has grown from strength to strength. The following graphic illustrates the many changes we have seen over four decades.
Company established by Michael Lawrence
After working as a toolmaker for a number of years, Michael decided to go out on his own and set up Lawrence Engineering in a building out the back of his house.
Hired second employee
John Brennan, Lawrence Engineering’s longest standing employee joined the company in 1993.
Moved to new purpose built plant in Loughill
As the company continued to expand, a new custom built plant was constructed next to the original plant.
100% focussed on medical device industry
Lawrence Engineering moved away from servicing a wide variety of industries to concentrate fully on offering precision engineering services for the medical device industry.
Doubled the size of plant in Loughill
In line with the growth of the company, we expanded our building, and invested in new high tech equipment.
James Lawrence became MD
After a number of years working in the industry, as a toolmaker, James Lawrence took over the family business.
Acquired new cleanroom site in Collooney
Lawrence Engineering purchased a new dedicated Medical Component Manufacturing plant, which includes a 200m2 purpose-built Class 8 Cleanroom.
Added new white room in Collooney
A new controlled white room in a controlled environment was built in the Collooney plant. Suitable for projects that don’t require a cleanroom
ISO 13485
Achieved ISO 13485 certification for Collooney site.
