Reflecting on 2023: A Year of Growth and Achievements for Lawrence Engineering
2023 was an incredible year of learning and growth for Lawrence Engineering, and we want to take some time to reflect on the journey. The year was marked by substantial growth, memorable events, and remarkable achievements that set the stage for an even more exciting future.
Some of the highlights from the last year include:
Team and Technology Expansion
Throughout the year, we welcomed a wave of talented individuals and cutting-edge machinery, propelling us forward on our path to success. We now have a headcount of 36 people across our two sites with plans for continued expansion.
Brand Refresh and Website Launch
September saw the unveiling of our refreshed brand identity and revamped website. The feedback from customers has been very positive, as this updated brand identity truly highlights our commitment and dedicated focus on the medtech industry.
Busy Event Schedule
This year, we focused more on attending trade shows and other industry events. 2023 was a milestone moment as we made our exhibiting debut at Medical Technology Ireland in Galway. We also attended Compamed in Dusseldorf for the first time, which proved to be a highly fruitful visit where we met with some of the leading medical device companies in Europe. There was a lot of interest in our services, particularly for our precision core pins.
This year, we were also honoured to be nominated for the Partner/Supplier of the Year award at the MedTech Rising event in Galway in December. This event, organised by the Irish Medtech Association together with Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland. Although we didn’t go home with a prize on the evening, if was a great honour to have been shortlisted.
New Customers
In 2023, we worked with several new customers both in Ireland and abroad and continued to expand our offerings with some of our key customers. 2023 was the year when our medical device manufacturing side of the business began to ramp up as companies learned about our offerings, including injection moulding, overmoulding, and micromoulding. In our Collooney facility, we also expanded our offerings by adding a white room. In this new space, we have milling and grinding capabilities within a controlled environment. The addition of this white room allows us to work on products that don’t require a cleanroom.
As we look back on these highlights, we’re energized for the future. With plans to further scale up our business in the coming year, Lawrence Engineering is poised for continued success and growth. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey in 2023. Your support and collaboration have been the driving force behind our achievements.
