A successful edition of Compamed 2024

Our Managing Director, James Lawrence, and Export Sales Manager, Eoghan Ross, recently attended Compamed, one of Europe’s leading events for the medtech industry, held in Düsseldorf, Germany, on the 11th and 12th of November.

The timing of the trip was particularly memorable, as it coincided with the start of Germany’s carnival season. This gave us the opportunity to experience a unique aspect of German culture alongside the show—a vibrant atmosphere filled with celebrations, colour, and tradition. It added a lively backdrop to what was otherwise a productive and insightful visit.

The first day of the event, Monday, was noticeably quieter than expected, with many attendees noting it was much less crowded than in previous years. But this ended up being an advantage for us, as the quietness allowed us to have some good conversations with customers, and suppliers, as people weren’t rushing onto the next meetings. While we weren’t exhibiting at the event, Compamed remains a key date in our calendar. It offers an invaluable opportunity to connect with customers and suppliers in one place, exchange insights, and stay up-to-date with industry trends.

During our discussions, our injection mould tooling capabilities sparked significant interest, particularly our ability to seamlessly follow up with the moulding of parts. Attendees also showed keen interest in our balloon mould tooling solutions and precision core pins, areas where we continue to demonstrate excellence in design and manufacturing. We look forward to continuing these conversations and building on the connections made at the event.
